Joanne Kubba - C4G Cycle Challenge Fundraising Page (Sept 2017)

Friends, Family - I am going to embark on a 4day Cycling Challenge in Spain - yes I know me, cycling = possible disaster but its for a good cause :). The challenge will be raising money for the Gaza Mental Health Project which Palestine Child Relif Fund is the partner. Anything you can donate to support would go a long way to help those affected by war through rehabilitation and into productive citizens who can move on from the effects of war. More details below.

Thanks, Joanne x

About the C4G Cycle Challenge
The 2014 war on Gaza left thousands of children injured not only physically but also psychologically. Today, approximately 373,000 children in Gaza suffer from emotional and psychological trauma and are in dire need of mental care support and reintegration into society.

The objective of the Gaza Mental Health Project is to assess children’s needs, provide them the service they require and to train social workers on administering screening questionnaires. Over 1,300 children have been screened by 5 field workers to date and their subsequent programs are currently being developed.

The Palestine Children's Relief Fund was established in 1991 during the first Palestinian uprising to identify and provide free medical care for sick and injured children who could not be treated in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. We have since expanded into one of the most active and respected nonprofit humanitarian relief organizations in the Middle East, saving the lives of thousands of children in Palestine, the Levant and other parts of the Middle East by sending them abroad, sponsoring medical missions and other humanitarian relief projects to alleviate the suffering of poor and sick children on the ground.
