Want to help build a Pediatric Cancer Department in Gaza? 

Bassam and I will be running the 10K at the Palestine Marathon in Bethlehlem on March 22, and I am joining the Team Palestine for PCRF (Palestinian Child Relief Fund). This team is a group of dedicated runners participating in various events for the ultimate goal of raising money for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund which was established in 1991 by concerned people in the U.S. to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youths in the Middle East. The PCRF Vision is to build the most effective, efficient, transparent and humanitarian relief organization in which every child in need gets the care and treatment they deserve, while improving the fundamental defects in Palestinian health services in the occupied territories and Lebanese refugee camps.

The PCRF is currently helping to fund and open the Dr. Musa and Suhaila Nasir Pediatric Cancer Department, the ONLY department treating kids with cancer in the Gaza Strip. Check out their website www.pcrf.net for more information.

We will be joining thousands of runners at the start line of Church of Nativity in Bethlehem.  This is one of the symbolic races of the year because we will run through a historically beautiful city.  We will be challenging ourselves by running the many hills this city has to offer. We will run along the apartheid wall that isolates the Palestinian people and keeps them from getting proper medical attention. Help Team Palestine fulfill our humanitarian mission of raising funds for the PCRF to ensure that the children of Palestine and the Middle-East receive badly needed medical care.  You as a donor can have a major impact on a child's life.  Help me reach my goal of $300.
